Quality vs Quantity
According to an article in a website, the quality and quantity are the terms used in doing researches,business,physics and in our everyday life. Those terms are used to analyze an information or datas. But what is the difference of the word quality and quantity?
Quality
Quality is subjective. It describes the characteristic of something. The value of something is describe based on its features. As stated on the Merriam Webster Dictionary, it is something that can be noticed on how bad or good it is. In this term, there can be a comparison between a thing and other things since it is about measuring how good a particular thing by describing it.
Example: I bought ripe mangoes.
Based on the example, the word "ripe" describes the mangoes. And it is quality.
Quantity
Quantity refers to the number or size. It tells about the amount or number of a data or group. Unlike the quality, it is not subjective. But it can be compared using the terms "less", "more", "equal".
Example: I bought 23 mangoes.
Based on the example, the number "23" used to tell the total number of mangoes that had been bought and that is quantity.
Overall, the difference of quality and quantity is that quality describes something while quantity measure something by counting the number of it.
